META

Trained as a drummer at the Centre Musical et Créatif de Nancy, Meta moved to the capital of European jazz in 1996 at the call of François Moutin. From then on, we’ve found him on the album Init of the André Ceccarelli/N'Guyen Lê/Bob Berg trio, then within Bad Elephant, with Daniel Casimir, Louis Moutin, Linley Marthe and Michael Felberbaum.

Since 1996, the singer-percussionist has distinguished himself in multiple contexts, without forgetting his singularity. The list of his collaborations is quite long, but he has always been able to take advantage of them to refine his own vision of things. "The lesson of pleasure..." sums up the man who also asserts himself as a leader. He released four records under his name and called the same badass jazz team for his third album, “The Sweetness of a Saffron Wind”, whose title echoes to his "African" origins.

In 2019, Meta presents his new album "Incurve Life".
